It doesn't matter how much yarn you have in your stash, or how many WIPs you have on the needles, nothing compares to a yarn splurge for lifting your mood. Yarn won't negatively affect your health and can be a small single skein treat, or an extravagant pressie to yourself.
A big part of the fun happens before you've even made the purchase, just by perusing the delicious colours. It's so relaxing to escape into daydream, imagining potential projects. So much more creative than flicking through a gossip rag or other forms of brain bubblegum.
The second wave of fun comes when the parcel arrives in the post. Now you can see those colours in real life, feel the softness in your hands. More daydreaming for projects begins, but I'm a firm believer that not every skein needs to be transformed. I keep some in my stash just because they're so beautiful and make me happy to look at them. In box fresh form they never lose the aura of possibilities and promise.
Make yourself a nice cuppa and relax as you take a visual stroll through the myriad of colours at Happy-Go-Knitty. With 100 items currently in store you can plan projects to your heart's content. My fave needles are also in stock,. If you haven't tried ChiaoGoo yet, give them a go.

If you are a mother, you may have noticed that Mother's Day is just around the corner. Now's the time to start dropping those hints! Let people know what you really want or prepare to smile sweetly at some discount body lotion.
If you are not a mother, make sure your pet/s buy you some yarn, or just treat yourself for all the hard work you've done during the year - that's the spirit of the day.
Right, I'm off to make myself a nice cuppa tea, (sadly there's no biscuits in the house), and choose something for the dog to buy me. I can't decide between dark and mysterious like Wine O'Clock or Black Doris Plum...
...or something bright and happy like Pacific Ocean or English Mustard...
mmm... maybe something sophisticated like Smashed Blueberries or West Coast Granite...
